    LOCO was was a subcontractor to Tetra Tech on a project for Metro Vancouver to help small businesses meet the landfill bans. We researched best practices in small business waste management, identified success factors and developed case studies. We identified practices and tools useful to small businesses, and engaged with those businesses who had not yet met the bans to deliver onsite assessments, make recommendations and support implementation.

    • Tools to Support Independent Businesses & Fill Empty Storefronts on Granville Street

    LOCO was commissioned by the Downtown Vancouver BIA (DVBIA) to investigate some of the issues for area businesses and leasing agents that contribute to empty storefronts on Granville Street. The project investigated the success of existing independent businesses, producing case studies to help overcome perceived barriers for other businesses. We surveyed and connected to independent businesses, in the hopes that independent businesses will continue to find affordable spaces there, and maintaining retail diversity.

    and conducted a targeted digital campaign to promote the City of North Vancouver and its impactful

    businesses to consumers.
