About Freesia Soap Company

I started making cold- processed soap for my family and friends in 2015 as my son and I suffered from eczema and I couldn’t find a product that was agreeable to my skin. This was my impetus to learn how to make soap; family and friends loved using my soaps and receiving my handcrafted soaps as gifts. In late 2020, after surviving breast cancer, I decided to pursue my soap making as a business. Today I love what I do.

While soap is a wash-on-wash-off product, we all use it regularly and often. I wanted to create a soap for hands, face and body that was gentle on the skin, used by everyone but would also be luxurious and skin-nourishing.

Crafted with intention and care in small batches, each bar of artisan soap provides wonderful lather and moisturizing qualities with a simple recycled paper label to reduce packaging. All my products are handmade by me and I have full control of all the ingredients. I use primarily natural and certified ingredients including Tussah silk. The soaps are made with coconut, olive, canola, and sunflower oils plus RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil from Segregated Source and refined Shea Butter.

My inspiration comes from nature and flowers and my desire to connect. Freesia is a flower and it means trust and friendship. My goal is to be a trusted friend and supplier to my community and to families. As a long time Vancouver resident and entrepreneur, I have always focused on building community, nurturing friendships and connecting people.
