#BCBuyLocal
B.C. Buy Local is an annual campaign that celebrates local business to promote the contributions that B.C. businesses make to our economy and our communities. The goal of the BC Buy Local campaign is to provide a digital platform to highlight BC-based businesses and products. The campaign’s pink dots identify B.C. owned businesses and B.C. made and grown products. Our posters and rack cards identify how businesses create jobs and support local suppliers to make a big impact in the community.
We work with groups across the province to activate the campaign in their communities. Campaign partners often join to support B.C. Buy Local Week and conduct our annual survey of independent businesses. We also work with partners throughout the year, conducting business workshops to measure community impact, elevate the stories of local business, and run targeted social media campaigns. To become a campaign partner or work with us in your community, get in touch.
Businesses can participate by using campaign materials to identifying themselves as locally owned, by labeling locally grown and made products in stores and restaurants, and using the hashtag #BCBuyLocal to promote how they support local producers and service providers. Although the campaign is largely digital, our posters, cards and stickers are great offline too. If your business is a LOCO member, let us know what materials you'd like and we'll send some to you. If not, but your business is located or works with one of our partners campaign partners, you may be able to receive materials from them. We want to make sure every business who needs materials gets some, so get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
Consumers can participate in the campaign by supporting their favourite local businesses and products, and by promoting their love of local with the hashtag #BCBuyLocal. Consumers can sign up for our newsletter at bcbuylocal.com for news about great B.C. products and businesses all year long.
